1500 – Course Outline

Hairdressing involves (475 hours) covering various aspects of haircutting such as the fundamentals, blunt cutting, graduation cutting, and combination cutting. In hairstyling, you’ll learn about wet setting, blow outs, thermal styling, long hair styling, and ethnic hair design.

Basic Training comprises (150 hours) focusing on tools and their uses, understanding chemicals, hygiene and sanitation, as well as rules and laws.

Chemicals and Hair Treatments require (500 hours) This includes shampoo and conditioning, scalp treatments, and permanent waving, which covers fundamentals, sectioning and wrapping, processing, chemical reforming, and contemporary wrap techniques. Hair coloring lessons encompass temporary, semi-permanent, and permanent hair color, highlighting techniques, dimensional color, and corrective hair color.

Related Electives consist of (35 hours) dedicated to seminars and special subjects.

Sanitation and Management spans (200 hours), addressing personal and public hygiene, sanitation and disinfection, state laws and statutes, employment acquisition and maintenance, building a clientele, professional relationships, salon retailing, business management, and government relations.

Esthetics takes (85 hours) to cover skin analysis, cleansing the skin, anatomy, facial manipulations, skin disorders, an introduction to cosmetics, applying various cosmetics, and product knowledge.

Nail Technology involves (55 hours) focusing on the fundamentals of manicuring and pedicuring, detailed manicuring and pedicuring procedures, and the application of nail enhancements.
